Welcome to Midwest Emergency Academy (“MidwestEA”). By accessing or using our website, online courses, programs, or services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Services, creating an account, or enrolling in a course or program, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have legal permission from a parent or guardian, and that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

MidwestEA offers online training courses, blended educational programs, and optional in-person skills sessions by request.
All service availability, requirements, and formats are subject to change at any time.

MidwestEA serves students located in the Kansas City metro and surrounding region.

3. User Accounts

Some Services require creating an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

MidwestEA may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

4. Course Enrollment & Payment

Payment is required at the time of enrollment unless otherwise stated.
By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Review course prerequisites before registering
  • Follow the refund and withdrawal policies stated on the course or program page

MidwestEA reserves the right to change pricing, schedules, or course availability at any time.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

Refund eligibility varies by course or program.
Refunds are not guaranteed and may be subject to administrative fees.

6. Certifications & Completion Requirements

Certification or completion documents are issued only after meeting all course requirements, which may include:

  • Online modules
  • Written evaluations
  • Skills evaluations (in person or Remote Skills Verification when applicable)

Completion of a MidwestEA course does not guarantee state licensure, NREMT certification, or employment.

7. Academic Integrity

You agree not to:

  • Share exam content
  • Allow others to complete coursework on your behalf
  • Misuse certification records
  • Engage in any form of academic dishonesty

Violation may result in removal from the course, revocation of certification, and/or legal action.

8. Use of Content

All content on the MidwestEA website and within courses—including videos, text, graphics, and instructional materials—is the intellectual property of MidwestEA.

You may not:

  • Copy, share, or redistribute content
  • Use content for commercial or instructional purposes without written consent
  • Reverse-engineer or modify course materials

Limited personal use is granted for training and certification preparation only.

9. Technology Requirements

The Services require reliable internet access and modern devices capable of running online coursework.
MidwestEA is not responsible for:

  • Internet outages
  • Device compatibility issues
  • Third-party software failures

Some programs may require webcams, microphones, or other equipment.

10. Modifications to Services

MidwestEA may update, modify, or discontinue any portion of the Services at any time, including:

  • Course content
  • Delivery methods
  • Instructor assignments
  • System requirements

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of major changes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • MidwestEA does not guarantee employment or licensure outcomes

Our courses do not replace:

  • State or national certification requirements

MidwestEA may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms or inappropriate conduct.
Users may also request account deletion by contacting support.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes must be resolved in state or federal courts located in Jackson County, Missouri.

MidwestEA may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
